On-Orbit Relative Radiometric Calibration of the Bayer Pattern Push-Broom Sensor for Zhuhai-1 Video Satellites

The two video satellites of the second and third batch Zhuhai-1 microsatellites (referred to as OVS-2A/3A) are operational with their hyperspectral satellites, which improves data acquisi-tion capability remote sensing satellite constellation. Contrary linear array push-broom plane CCD OVS is equipped a planar Bayer pattern sensor, can obtain single-band grayscale images by imaging. Additionally, color reconstruction algorithm interpolate sensor provide RGB band information. Therefore, for relative calibration method or cameras cannot be directly applied. radiometric imaging mode has become matter concern; therefore, this study developed verified its effectiveness accuracy. were used perform on-orbit calibration, accu-racy, including streaking metrics root-mean-square error, was better than 1%, meeting specification requirements satellite. Visually, after correction, striping noise removed, quality image considerably improved, providing good basis subsequent research in applications.
